Grace Edwards sells a range of handmade ceramic homewares through Grace & Greene Clayworks. Everything from mugs, to vases, to soap dishes - and plenty in between. Each item is built by hand - without the use of the potter’s wheel - to create truly individual pieces that will be unique to your home.
For the collection made for io e te, she worked using ancient techniques of slab building, coiling and pinching to make the unique organic forms. Inspired by the rolling waves of the sea, the glaze technique included using thin glazes and letting them cascade over the pots - pooling in crevices and forming curves as it ran.
The pots are:
- Food safe
- Dishwasher safe if carefully stacked but hand wash is recommended to maximise longevity
- Not microwave or oven safe
